Before you start pedalling, visit the Renaissance Chateau in Bučovice with its eight-metre-high Bacchus Fountain. If the chateau is open, be sure not to miss the “hare” room of the Hall of Venus.
As you move on from admiring the castle, now it’s time for a little sweat. Bike trail No. 5097 leads through the village of Kloboučky and then through the pleasant landscape of the Ždánický Les. The highest point of today’s trip, the U Slepice (At the Hen) crossroads, is waiting for you after the U Kříže (At the Cross) crossroads. Continue along bike trail No. 473. You will miss the charming town of Ždánice this time, but do not hesitate to come here at your earliest convenience to try the famous desserts called trubičky and kremeše.
In the mood to continue your ride? After a little further pedalling you will find yourself among the vineyards of the Slovácko region. Welcome to the landscape where the ancestors of the Czechs were engaged in farming already in the era of Great Moravia. You will pass through a beautiful landscape to Bukovany. Take a look around from the wind mill or sit back and sample local delicacies from the kitchen of the Bukovany Mill. Do you know what “patents” are? You don't? When you find out, all you have to do is to ride to the final destination in the direction of Kyjov (ideally along bike trail No. 412).
