You can enjoy the wine culture to the max thanks to the Moravian Wine Trails, which weave a poetic landscape with vineyards. These can be explored on foot or by bike, in a group or with children. Even if the children will not be wine-tasting, they will greatly enjoy the prevailing relaxing terrain.

The project was created some two decades ago. It brought together 1200 kilometres of comprehensive cycling routes connected into 10 circuits. They are named after the original wine-growing regions. Everything is connected by the 245-kilometre-long Moravian Wine Route between Znojmo and Uherské Hradiště.

So where are we going?

If you like peace and quiet, head for the shortest trail called Bzenecká. Its 30 kilometres are perfect for a family trip. During the tour you will meet winemakers up close, taste fantastic samples, get a view of the region from the Doubí watchtower and drive through the region of the loose sands.

On the other hand, the longest wine trail is the Znojemská trail, with 189 kilometres connecting 55 wine-growing villages. You will see nature and winemaking in its original form. The local wines are among the best that South Moravia produces.

The 84-kilometre Mikulovská trail, which passes through the Lednice-Valtice area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is worth the trip as well. In addition to wine and flat terrain, you will be delighted by one of the most extensive composite landscapes in Europe. Proof that nature and man can create something harmoniously beautiful together!

The Brno trail takes you 92 kilometres to the oldest vineyards in South Moravia and romantic castles such as Dolní Kounice. And we have mentioned only a fraction of the experiences that await you on the wine trails...now step on the pedals and off we go!
