Have you heard how wonderful Křetínka is? The Letovice Lake got this familiar name because it is close to the village of Křetín, the whole family can have fun there, it encourages active relaxation and is also useful apart from that.
The reservoir was built in the 1970s, it is almost five kilometres long and twenty-seven metres deep at some places. Water managers use the reservoir to level the flow of the nearby Svitava River. Křetínka promotes recreation and sport – set the sails and go windsurfing, jump in a kayak or catch some fish (fishing permit required). Swimming is allowed, and what is more, even recommended. If you are lucky, you can cheer the contestants on at the dragon boat races.
The vast Svitavice area offers a large number of activities as well as accommodation. You can go around the water surface by bike. Your destinations may include the “Railway in a Room” in Křetín or the elegant castle in Letovice. Discover the attractions of the northern part of our region.
