Start your trip in Nesovice. Standing above the village is the Nové Zámky chateau in Renaissance style, snow-white and with a turbulent history. It resembles the city castles in Northern Italy. In Snovídky, turn onto the bike trail on your left and immerse yourself in the forest kingdom.
You can quench your thirst at the Bezdýnka spring. Get ready now, as there is an ascent to the U Kříže (At the Cross) crossroads. Now enjoy the exceptionally pleasant ride along the mountain ridge, which leads through a nature-protection area of oak and mixed forests. The U Slepice (At the Hen) crossroads is located right below the highest peak of the Ždánický Les (Ždánice Forest), which bears the same name, and the two brooks Lovčický and Jordánek have their sources not far from there.
The U Zlatého Jelena (At the Golden Stag) crossroads can offer you shelter and also two memorials from different historical eras of the Czech Republic. The route will lead you to the section called Těšanka. It is an ancient trade route trodden by pilgrims, merchants and partisans – you will have a good portion of history under your feet. And we have a surprise for you: active oil wells can be found nearby! If you are in Hodonín, visit the only Czech Museum of Oil Extraction.
The Těšanka trail will lead you to Bošovice, where you can visit the Parrot Zoo. With more than 80 aviaries, this zoo, which is absolutely unique in Europe, presents colourful variations of parrots from three continents.
