The historically older Jewish cemetery may seem familiar to you if you have also visited the one in Mikulov. A similar handwriting of stonemasonry work on tombstones is, after all, still the subject of research today. The oldest date back to 1713, and in the area, you will also find an architecturally valuable ceremonial hall.
The synagogue was built at the end of the 19th century in an elegant Neo-Romanesque style, and its renovation was subsequently carried out by the famous Viennese architect Fleischer. World War II transformed the building into a warehouse. The reconstruction at the end of the 20th century was financially and technically demanding, but the result is magnificent. The airy hall of the synagogue with an exhibition gallery, azure ceilings, and majestic facade of the building... Additionally, you can see exhibitions dedicated to the local Jewish community, a gallery of fine arts, and afternoons are often devoted to concert performances. The synagogue in Břeclav is still alive. You will see with your own eyes or hear with your own ears.
