The largest precocious medieval fortification on the territory of our state and one of the biggest in middle Europe was founded in Pohansko in the 9th century. In the courtyard, there was the magnate seat built on stone socle, stone church decorated with fresco, burying place with silver and gold jewellery and agricultural facilities.
