A pleasant circular walk of about five kilometres on the Austrian-Moravian border leads from the neighbouring Schrattenberg to our Colonnade on Reistna (the ideal starting point on the Czech side) in the Lednice-Valtice area. In our country, the Barefoot Trail is still a rarity, in German-speaking countries, trails of this type (Barfußwege) are widespread.

On the way you are guided by a cheerful little man called Berti Barfus, i.e. barefoot Bertie. He will show you 11 stations where your feet will be massaged with pine cones, bark, sand or stones. You will enjoy balancing on a wobbly bridge made of wooden beams and straightening your back on wooden deck chairs. Walking shoeless on a variety of natural materials brings unusual sensory sensations. If you bring provisions, you can prepare them on a natural grill at one of the stops. Or you can have a bite to eat at Berti's hut on the edge of Schrattenberg. Most of the trail is ideal for walking barefoot. If the natural massage is too intense in some passages, keep trekking sandals or sneakers in your backpack. The trail is accessible all year round.
