Start your trip in Kobylí. Follow the nature trail from the railway station to the signpost near the church. Continue with a slight ascent through the village to the next sign below a steep climb. Take a deep breath in preparation for the final climb to the Walk Above the Vineyards. This spectacular barrier-free structure represents a whole life cycle of nature and offers a remarkable view of Pálava and even of the Alps when the weather is good.
From the signpost below the lookout tower, the green tourist marker will lead you to Vrbice. Right here, near the cemetery, you will find a wooden windmill, which is a replica of the original Vrbice mills.
Do you love the film Lord of the Rings? Walk through the legendary Hobbiton right here in Vrbice. Go back to the green trail from the mill and continue to the crossroads. On your right side, you will have a beautiful view of wine cellars, which are dug in sandstone up to seven floors above each other. You simply have to see this with your own eyes!
And what trip would it be without proper refreshments! You are at the right address. The local wine makers are well prepared for hikers. To get home, use either the bus (from the stop called Vrbice, Jednota) or go back to Kobylí, this time along a direct trail following the blue tourist marker.
