The 22nd International Music Festival Znojmo will once again fill Znojmo and the surrounding region, including neighbouring Austria, with world-class music performed by renowned Czech and international artists
The 22nd International Music Festival Znojmo will once again bring world-class performances by Czech and international artists to Znojmo and its surrounding region, including the Austrian border area, accompanied by premium wines from the Znojmo Wine Subregion.
Among the festival’s highlights are concerts by internationally acclaimed musicians, including renowned violin virtuoso Pavel Šporcl, the festival’s long-standing patron, as well as the festival’s signature baroque opera production performed with period instruments and historically informed interpretation. In 2026, audiences can look forward to Jean-Philippe Rameau’s spectacular baroque opera Les Indes Galantes (The Gallant Indies).
Each year, the festival programme is united by a central theme. In 2026, it is “Royal Music for a Royal Town”, commemorating the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Royal Town of Znojmo.
From 8–29 July 2026, visitors can enjoy more than 30 concerts, performances, and accompanying cultural events. Alongside exceptional classical music concerts, the programme offers a diverse mix of genres, including cimbalom music, jazz, family-friendly events, wine experiences, and gastronomic programmes.
A unique feature of the festival is that every concert ticket includes a tasting of selected wines from the Znojmo Wine Subregion, allowing visitors to combine outstanding music with local wine culture.
Throughout the festival, visitors can stop by the Festival Info Point located at the ZnojmoRegion destination office in the historic centre of Znojmo, near the Town Hall Tower. Here, they can obtain up-to-date festival information, taste or purchase wines from the limited Festival Wine Collection, and receive inspiration for exploring the wider Znojmo region.
