Olomouc–Náměšť na Hané–Moravský Kras

Setting off from the centre of Olomouc? You can follow cycle route 6025 to the cemetery in Neředín, then continue along the Way of St. James, marked with red mark, through small villages and via Náměšť na Hané to Malé Hradisko. From there, the pilgrimage route follows the yellow trail to Protivanov; at the junction U Skal it enters the village of Suchý. Here, in a small shelter by the pond, you can stamp the first mark into your credencial. From the crossroads, turn left onto the green trail toward Žďárná (pilgrim box by the Church of St. Bartholomew) and continue to Sloup — the gateway to the Moravian Karst. How about a visit to the Sloup–Šošůvka Caves? They are unique in several respects. Look for the pilgrim point near the Czech Tourist Club signpost.

Through the Moravian Karst to Rudice and Křtiny

From Sloup, the Way of St. James continues south along the red and yellow trails to the U Dubu junction, then follows the yellow trail to the mountain lodge above the Macocha Abyss, where another pilgrim box awaits by the upper bridge. The route then switches to the red trail and leads through Vilémovice (pilgrim box by the Chapel of St. Peter of Alcantara behind the municipal office) to the Harbechy junction. From there, it descends along the yellow trail to Jedovnice. The pilgrim point can be found on the grille beside the Church of St. Peter and Paul, renowned for its unique altar. From the square, follow the green trail to Rudické propadání and the Chapel of St. Barbara (the pilgrim box is on the back of the information board). From the Lom Seč junction, the Way of St. James continues along the green trail to the pilgrimage church in Křtiny, where it meets the Cyril and Methodius Route. Another pilgrim box can be found on the information board in front of the church.

Křtiny – Brno

From Křtiny, follow the blue trail to the junction near the Výpustek Cave, then continue to the Nad Arboretem junction and descend along the red trail to Bílovice nad Svitavou. Another pilgrim stamp awaits on the door of the Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk. Following the right bank of the Svitava River, you’ll reach the final public transport stop in Brno-Obřany. From there, the Way of St. James continues along red hiking signs to the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. At the signpost, the route splits: the main route leads into the centre of Brno to the Church of St. James, the heart of the South Moravian Ways of St. James. Be sure to collect your stamp from the pilgrim box at the church entrance. The route then continues across the city, back to the Svitava River, and along red hiking signs to the confluence with the Svratka near Olympia Shopping Centre. From Brno, you can continue south toward Rajhrad, Mikulov, and Austria.
