Find the marking of the Pivovarská 12 (Brewery Lager) bike trail on the square in Bítov, as it will guide you around. The flat terrain at the beginning will allow you to admire the views of the rocky Bítov Cove, leading you to the Bítov Castle. Around a bend you’ll find a spring which will quench your thirst and there is a hay bridge a little further on. Why is it called a hay bridge? It is one of the oldest bridges made of stone in the Czech Republic. During ancient battles, its roof was set on fire to ward off enemies. You may want to make a short stop at the Lake of Love (Jezírko Lásky) a bit further still.
Head through forests which are centuries old to Chvalatice. The Pivovarská 12 trail is joined by the trail of Jindřich Daun there. It is almost 6 kilometres long and it is a very pleasant hiking trail. Both trails will jointly lead you to the desired destination – refreshment in the form of Bítov lager at the Hasičský Pivovar (Firemen’s Brewery)!
