How about a picnic in one of the most beautiful chateau gardens in the Czech Republic?
Yes, you are at the right address in Buchlovice. One of the most significant Baroque residences of the Czech aristocrats was originally a gallant gift to a wife. Later, the education and diligence of the Petřvaldský and Berchtold families made it a meeting place of the political and cultural elite. In the last years of the Habsburg monarchy, the Buchlovice Chateau had no competition thanks to its luxurious interiors, sophisticated architecture and art and science collections. Even the divine Angelique de Peyrac could not look at this place down her cute nose.
There’s one more thing we must not forget! There is also a wildlife rescue station on the chateau premises. In addition to handicapped animals, there is also an exhibition of healthy animals. This station mainly tries to heal injured animals and release them back into the wild.
The charming Baroque garden and a vast English park are one of the most beautiful chateau gardens in the Czech Republic. Come and smell rhododendrons and fuchsias, quite possibly meet a peacock and walk through history in charming interiors.
