What if you found yourself back in the prehistoric epoch for one day? You can try travelling in time in the DinoPark Vyškov, fun for both kids and adults.
Do you fancy a zoological and paleontological trip to have fun and learn new things? This unusual fun park has dozens of life-size models of prehistoric animals (static and moving, accompanied by sound). It is situated in the pleasant environs of an urban forest, which makes the summer heat bearable and creates an incredible atmosphere.
Apart from the natural exteriors, the park also lures you with a 4D projection. Go along the Journeys into the Past trail. It is a small pavilion with real artefacts from ancient times from the Proterozoic to the present day, such as a real Tertiary scorpion, an imprint of the wings of prehistoric dragonflies or imitations of a real paleontological excavation.
A living Mesozoic plant WOLLEMIA NOBILIS located in the DinoPark since 2006 is a unique feature of world-class importance. Only thirty-nine specimens of this species of prehistoric pine were discovered as late as 1994 in the Australian wilderness. For a botanist, encountering this pine tree is the same as meeting a real, living dinosaur for a biologist. This tree grew on the Earth 175 million years ago. Wow!
Let your kids play on the palaeontological playground. They only need a brush, a shovel and a big dose of patience to discover the skeleton of a prehistoric creature hidden in the deep sand. These are the indispensable tools of a genuine palaeontologist. The DinoBike aerial lift is another attraction. You will have a bird’s eye view of the DinoPark and you will swoop down on it. A ride above dinosaurs’ heads is an unforgettable experience for everybody, regardless of their age.
You can also find an observatory in the DinoPark offering you a chance to observe the sun during the daytime using special telescopes. There is also a souvenir shop and the DinoCafé and DinoGril refreshment stalls, all in the Mesozoic style.
The ticket for the DinoPark also includes an entrance to the Vyškov ZOO, from where you will be taken to the Dino Park by special DinoExpresses.
