The traditional Almond and Wine Festival in Hustopeče will offer almond specialties, a craft fair, open cellars and a walk to the blossoming almond trees.
On Friday 22 March, the programme will start with open cellars from 18.00 in Na Hradbách Street and the surrounding area.
On Saturday, 23 March, you can look forward to a programme on Dukelské náměstí.
From 9.00 a.m. the gastro zone with restaurants and an almond fair opens. There will also be performances by children from local kindergartens and a primary art school. At 10.30 awaits the first cooking show with Petra Burianova, at 11.30 a dulcimer music will play and at 13.40 the traditional competition of eaters will take place. At 2.10 p.m. a band from Valasské Meziříčí Docuku will perform and at 4 p.m. you can look forward to a concert by Aneta Langerová.
Of course, there will also be a walk to the almond orchards, so hiking enthusiasts will also be in for a treat! Along the 5 km long nature trail, children and adults can perform tasks at stations run by local associations and listen to an audio guide.
There is also a children's zone under the church and a Wine & Relax zone behind the church. There you will find local winemakers, the singing of the Švarcavan male choir or dulcimer music from 1 pm. The cellars in Vinařská and Na Hradbách streets will also be open from 10.00 a.m. until night.
On Sunday, 24 March, the entire programme will take place in the orchards. Again, you can complete tasks along the route or just go for a relaxing walk in the orchard and to the lookout tower.
