The 31st Open Cellars Festival returns to the Mikulov region
We will visit Mikulov - the Florence of the North, a town with the smell of the South and the Dunajov Hills - a picturesque region at the foot of the Pálava River, with the best locations for growing traditional Moravian varieties. Mikulov offers an exceptional tour leading not only from cellar to cellar, but also through the historical, cultural and architectural monuments of this medieval town. And its silhouette from afar can be enjoyed from the Dunajovice hills opposite.
Over 30 open cellars, wine tastings at the hands of winemakers, an accompanying cultural programme and regional specialities will await visitors on the weekend of 22 and 23 April. The price of a two-day ticket includes a tasting of all festival samples, entry to all cellars, a printed guide, a tasting glass, a stylish cloth bag, the possibility of using the festival bus transport and free entry to selected events of the accompanying programme. Starting on Saturday, April 22, the cellars will open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the opportunity to purchase wines from the winemakers both days.
The registration point in Mikulov will be open on Friday 21 April from 3 to 8 pm, Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 12 pm. Shuttle service will run between the villages throughout the festival. Information on winemakers, program and accommodations on the website. Tickets in the e-shop.
