The most beautiful vineyards in the Czech Republic plus a perfect architectural work of the brand new winery? Yes, we are going on a trip to the royal town of Znojmo and its surroundings.
You can easily get to Znojmo by bus or train. In the season, the wine-bus departs at three different times, so you can choose one of them according to your own rhythm: 10:00, 13:45 and 17:15. (The wine trip is in high demand, so we recommend you book a place in advance.) You can expect 14 stops and 20 wineries in 45 kilometres!
The journey goes through vineyards, and you will walk along tiny cellar alleys and sample top wines with original certificates of winemakers from the famous Znojmo region at seven places. You will see the most beautiful historic part of Znojmo with the Gothic town hall tower and Vlk tower and the Premonstratensian Louka Monastery, the seat of the Znovín winery company, and also nice wine-producing villages such as Šaldorf, Šatov, etc.
Starting from this year, the route includes a great new place: the new LAHOFER wine shop in Dobšice. The LAHOtéka wine shop and the Amphitheatre have won several architectural awards. They know how to treat wine here and it is also a representative visitor centre. The dominant feature is a roof you can walk on, which serves as an amphitheatre for cultural and wine events.
You can get off at any stop on the route and enjoy your own program – you can get on another Vinobus (wine-bus) three hours later and continue again with a guide.
Enjoy the trip with some typical wines from the highly appreciated Znojmo area!
