Over the course of its eleven-year history, the International Lednice–Valtice Music Festival (LVHF) has secured a firm place in the cultural calendar and has become one of the leading classical music festivals in the Czech Republic.
The Lednice–Valtice Music Festival (LVHF) has been held annually since 2016 in the Lednice–Valtice Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the South Moravian Region, at the turn of September and October. Over the course of two weeks, the festival presents eight concerts in historic venues built by the House of Liechtenstein. The family’s deep roots in the region give the festival a unique connection to local history. In centuries past, the Liechtensteins regularly invited musicians from Brno and Vienna to perform on their estates during the autumn hunting season.
Since its inaugural edition in 2016, which featured just two intimate concerts headlined by renowned violinist Václav Hudeček, the festival has grown significantly. As it prepares for its eleventh edition in 2026, LVHF continues its mission to deliver outstanding musical and artistic experiences while also offering a high-quality educational programme for children.
The Lednice–Valtice Music Festival offers a unique opportunity for music and history enthusiasts to discover the beauty of this remarkable region and immerse themselves in world-class performances set against the backdrop of extraordinary historic venues.
Since October 2022, the festival has also been a proud member of the Czech Association of Festivals (CAF).
