A solemn ceremony to honor the memory of not only military but also civilian victims of the battle.
As is now tradition, on Sunday, November 30, 2025, we will gather on Pracký Hill, the site of the fiercest fighting of the battle, in front of the Peace Memorial, to honor and remember not only the military but also the civilian victims of the Battle of Austerlitz.
The memorial ceremony at the Peace Memorial is the culmination of the commemorative events. Pracký kopec is a symbolic place, considered to be the site where Napoleon's victory was decided. Inside the Peace Mound is a chapel with an ossuary, where the remains of the fallen found on the Slavkov battlefield have been stored since the 1920s. The mound is the first peace memorial in Europe.
